Sorry Star Wars fans, for the title theft, but 2021 has got to be SO much better than 2020.

After having 3 trips to Calypso scrubbed for various reasons, we finally were able to get there for 2 weeks over the Christmas holidays, with some very unusual and forgettable travel experiences, mainly due to covid19 and limited transportation options. Our goal was to assess the condition of the island and finish returning Calypso to rentable condition.

Elbow Cay is remarkably well cleaned up, and green again, and eager for visitors to return. While full recovery is probably a year or more away, many businesses and rental homes have been repaired and are back in operation. The beaches and surrounding waters are as beautiful as ever, the island remains safe, and locals are still welcoming. Prior visitors will be right at home.

Calypso has undergone extensive renovation, with repairs, additions and improvements too numerous to list. The house is in its best condition since new and looks fantastic.
